Who is Whitney Gardner ?

Hello reader, hope you are doing good. Today’s author is a little different from the rest. She is an illustrator and an author who also loves to crochet, reading all this it made me think that who exactly is Whitney Gardner ?

Whitney Gardner is an author and illustrator from Victoria, British Columbia. She is the author of numerous award winning books like You’re Welcome Universe, Chaotic Good, Fake Blood, etc..

Gardner, in her high school days was associated with deaf community and loved spending her time there. In fact, before her book “You’re Welcome Universe” made an entry in the market she had made up her might to be a deaf interpreter.

Inspired from one of her friend she came up with the idea of the book “You’re Welcome Universe” where the protagonist is a deaf Indian girl named Julia and Whitney has created her character in such a way that it keeps growing regardless of her disabilities.
