When all you see is white and nights are cold,
In one hand your favorite beverage, and in the other, a warm story you hold.
A clear sky and some sunlight is enough to elate one's heart,
It's not just a season, Winter is a piece of art.
By now you would've guessed the theme and you're absolutely right! It's all about Winters this week.
Winter Greetings Fellow Readers,
Granted, there's a lot of amazing festivities in this season, like Christmas, New Year, and Lohri, but Winters are much more than that. Winter is the festival of love, poetry, kindness, change and, not to forget, the legendary ice queen.
The true value of a sunny day is only evident after a long spell of Winter.
The theme for this week is Winter and the book we will be reading is Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin
What's the book about: One night in winter, Peter Lake, orphan, and master-mechanic, attempts to rob a fortress-like mansion on the Upper West Side. Though he thinks the house is empty, the daughter of the house is home. Thus begins the love between Peter Lake, a middle-aged Irish burglar, and Beverly Penn, a young girl, who is dying.
